Others have the same sensation(discomfort or even distress)seeing someone sharpen a knife with a steel-rod sharpener,and other similar activities.Does this concept have a name?what's the scientific explanation for this phenomenon?

Probably the sound frequency is a bit high... Like when you hear something screech... High frequency sounds always cause uncomfortable behavior in humans, according to tests, this is no different

i have read this in somewhere before (sorry can't remember from where):

the high pitch sound of scratching glass-sheet with nails, or scratching blackboard with nails, are similar to the sound made by apes/monkeys, asking for help when they are in danger.
if you believe in evolution, that human evolve from ape (somehow). maybe that's is the ancient instinct we inherite from our ancient ancestors - feeling uncomfortable hearing an emergency call and relate it to danger.

The answer . 100-s yers ago people belive in ambient dangerous by hearing the sound of that strach .Actually this is the sound of monkeys . So now, we have the same bad feeling as people 100-s yers ago. That bad feeling is the feel of dangerous.

speaking about the loved ones I lost hurts... yet i wager it doesnt make me uncomfortable, I hate that ppl discover it mandatory to show screen what they say round me. Its gonna damage continuously yet I dont ideas it !!!

its not seeing it. its hearing the sound. its sends chills up your back.
