humm im not sure what kind of exercise have you been doing?? i dunno keep doing what your doing im sure you will see results eventually. try doing cardio of some kind if your not already, its the best thing to do in order to get rid of flab around the abdomen. the cardio will make your tummy trim and then at the same time your should also do some abdominal exercises like crunches and whatnot to make your abs toned and defined.

Don't worry. You're building muscle that is layering itself and becoming stronger. As it grows gradually it will push up the skin that is over it and that can create the effect that you're stomach is getting "fatter". Now, I'm not saying you're fat but the fat that is over your stomach area needs to be burned off before you look slimmer and to allow your abs to show clearly. A persons body fat needs to be 10% or below to have the carved look in the stomach area. Cardio exercises will help you get to where you want to be. Everyday you have to at least do an exercise that will have your heart pumping twice as fast as your resting heart rate for at least 20 mins. to get your results. Of course, more than 20 mins. is good so push yourself and have patience. In no time you'll look great and feel even better.

If you over-exercise your stomach muscles, they get bigger. If there's no corresponding fat loss around your midsection, it makes your stomach look bigger. If you want to have a washboard stomach you'll have to get your body fat below 14%, and that takes a lot of dedication. You may want to consider investing in a copy of "The Abs Diet." You can find it at any bookstore, and it's hard to miss -- the cover is bright orange. It's a common-sense guide to eating better and exercising without restricting any food groups and without making you a slave to the gym. It's 100% safe, and the best thing is it lets you eat the foods you love in moderation and doesn't require a lot of exotic recipes that are hard to prepare. Good luck!

If you are not exhaling completely durin the up protion of a crunch it can cause this, a little, not a lot, it is probably still a function of your diet or your imagination. Eating right can mean lots of things and most peoplewho think they are eating right really aren't. You should judge progress by how your clothes fit.

it's probably your muscles, if you work out alot you tend to gain a couple pounds but it's muscle, not fat.
Give it time or go to a gym and get a personal trainer.
good luck!
