Okay...I wouldn't do anything drastic (fasting diets, crazy workout plans)...but here is a great website I have used for over a year that gives you a meal plan and exercise plan for every day of the week based on what foods you like, your exercise goals (get in shape, stay in shape, lose fat, firm up), and the exercise equipment you have available to use. It is called ishape.com (run by the company that does Shape magazine). It is about $50 for a year I think (which is what I have now) or 29.99 for a 12 week trial...you get a 10 day free trial regardless. If you think you might like it, just get the year because it ends up being so much cheaper.

Invest in a copy of "The Abs Diet." You can find it at any bookstore, and it's hard to miss -- the cover is bright orange. It's a common-sense diet and exercise plan that doesn't restrict any food groups and doesn't make you a slave to the gym either. It's 100% safe, and you can get some pretty eye-raising results in a short amount of time. Best of all, it lets you eat the foods you love in moderation, and you get one "cheat meal" where you can have whatever you want once a week.

Hello
This sure did work for me so here goes,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx
Good luck

How much weight do you want to lose? And how long do you have?
The healthiest thing I can think of is don't bring junk food into the house, don't eat seconds or fried food, and keep fruits and vegetables around to snack on. Drink lots of water, and walk a lot.
Good luck!

You are asking *THE 6 MILLLION DOLLAR QUESTION*
Each body's (specific) metabolism digests (burns off fat cells) at a different rate.
In aim to answer your ^ question, I recommend you consult a *metabolic dietician.* If your ultimate goal is only to lose the weight (size?) only for your "Nupitual-day", then your ultimate goal of losing the weight for life will go unrealized. :-(
...Consider discussing this issue w. your soon-to-be and consider all the end results.
There are many advertised methods you could consider that have gained much of the media attention. (Whether or not they are WORTH anything is still in debate.)
JENNI CRAIG or WEIGHT WATCHERS comes first to mind.
CONGRATULATIONS! and may you enjoy many more Happy years together!
