Actually, it's the other way around, hot dogs usually come in packs of 10, while the buns come in packs of 8.
It's a conspiracy between the hot dog makers and bread makers.

the following in Canada it is 12 warm dogs to a %. and eight buns, yet we actually have 12 packs, and the load is the the component 10 warm dogs contained in the U. S. weighs a million pound so then the packaging is wanting to produce a million pound of warm dogs, some have 8 packs so the nice and comfy dogs weigh 2 oz., clone of the following in Canada we've the proper chop up buns contained in the summer yet like egg nog they disappear after a particular time, that is not a promotion problem yet a weight and kit subject matters for this contained in the U. S..

Because they want you to buy more. Here we can get packs of 20 hot dog buns so you get them and 2 packs of hot dogs. It works out easier that way plue we have a big family.

So you'll have to buy another pack of hot dogs to use all your buns. THEN you'll have left over hot dogs that you'll have to buy buns for. It's like this never ending cycle!!!!! Just wrap them in bread instead in protest to the bun companies not making an 8 pack. (of course) then you have the makers of hot dogs not making an 10 pack...They are trying to drive us all bananas...

It's a marketing ploy! We live in a capitalist society. That way you have to buy 5 packages of hot dogs and 4 packages of buns in order for it all to balance out.

It's because there will always be one or two kids who don't want their hot dogs on a bun, they prefer them cut up!
