My understanding is that the name Jesus is the equivalent of "Joshua" in Hebrew. The word they used as "Christ" meant "the anointed one." Don't know about Jesus in Greek, but the Greek for Christ is "Christe."

His actual name would have been Yeshua ben Yoshef, which means Jesus son of Joseph.
Emmanuel means God is With Us. Not Jesus Christ. Properly Jesus THE Christ. Meaning Jesus the annointed one.
The proper Aramaic term for Jesus is Yeshua. Yeshua means Salvation. It is sometimes translated Joshua. Read the Old Testament "Book of Joshua" for more on salvation.
Christ is the Greek term for Annointed. Christ is not his name. It is a title. He is the Annointed one. Meaning he was chosen by God.
The Hebrew term for Christ is Messiah.

Yehoshua, translated into Greek as Iesous and English as Jesus, literally means "God (Yah) saves"
Christos is Greek for the Hebrew word Messiah, which in English means "Anointed one"

Rarely if ever you will find a truth seeker christian as most if not all are in deep coma under the influence of the illusion of son of God saveing and blind faith. Truth need evidences and evidence can't be blind.
