I think turquoise and ivory would be beautiful. the ivory would help give it more of an autumn feel while still using your turquoise. and if you're worried about incorporating the turquoise in your bouquets than use ribbons or netting in turquoise. just make little loops and secure them to floral picks. good luck. should be very pretty.

I love the idea of Turquoise. However if the wedding is held in a more northern climate or away from a beach, for September you may want to go more with a deep turquoise/teal color. Turquoise will be a more casual color and better for a day wedding. As for flowers, don't worry about matching. Get a good florist and use whatever is in season. The flowers will look better and it will cost you a lot less. I was a bridesmaid in wedding and we bought the flowers the day of the wedding and put them together with a little wire and florist tape and just carried them like a reqular bouquet. The cost was minimal and it looked great. I also was at a wedding where the flowers were purchased last minute at the grocery store in the pre-made seasonal bouquets. It looked great and nobody was the wiser. You may want to consider getting the bridesmaids dresses from a department store instead of a bridal store. It will cost a lot less and you can have them shipped to your bridesmaids around the country. Quality will probably be better too. Save your money for a great honeymoon. All you need at the wedding is good music, good food, and good drinks and a bride and groom who love eachother. Guaranteed recipe for fun.

If you love turquoise, you should use it as your wedding color - regardless of the time of year! I think that turquoise is a seasonless color.
For flowers, you could do a lot of different things -
- All white flowers (I LOVE white flowers)
- A mix of white flowers and blue hydrangeas
- You could do the orange flowers, they'd be a contrast to the turquoise (or pink, or yellow)
But, don't worry too much about flowers yet - you still have plenty of time.
If I were you, I'd just choose my wedding colors based on what colors I like. So what I'm saying is, if the only reason you're considering a fall color scheme is to coordinate with flowers, don't do it. If you like the idea of a fall-themed wedding overall, I'd switch your colors and nix the turquoise.
Pick your color palette and the rest will fall into place.

What other colors are you looking at having for your wedding? Are you going to incorporate any other colors? My favorite, since I am having a turquoise wedding in August is an off white flower, and use ivory linens so that there is some co-ordination. The dark orange could work well, but in my opinion they might clash a bit. A deep red would work better. I hope this has helped.

Turquoise isn't only a hard color to match, it's a hard color to wear! If your bridesmaids don't look good in the dresses, your pictures won't look good.
I really like the fall colors idea. That leaves a lot of possiblities for finding a dress color that will look good on everyone. I saw a wedding once where the bridesmaids were in chocolate brown dresses with pink sashes and pink bouquets. It was beautiful! I saw another with dark yellow dresses and wildflower bouquets. You have so many possiblities with a fall color scheme!

I'm getting married in the spring/summer possibly 2007 and I'm using turquoise and fuschia as my colors. The only way you could get away with turquoise would be if you used turquoise and like a chocolate brown. That would be about it.

Turquiose is a great color. Orange may be too much for it. Ivory or white is always great. Yellow would be nice as well. Go on line to the wedding planners and link on to the flowers. You will easily find what you want. You can do the same at the local florist.

How about cocoa brown? Lots of different colors would go well: yellow, dark orange, coral, red. It's so refreshing to come across your question after all the negative tripe I've had to look at on this site today. I wish you much happiness and a lovely wedding!

I would try yellow/ivory/white route. I think it might depend on if your turq more blue or more green on if you wanted to add more color like orange or more golden yellow. I would maybe keep it simple white or ivory with some yellow---and find a fall berry in crimson or orange? Or rusty-red freesias? Or you can be subtle with tiny blue flower against white...if turq is more blue. Or you can use greenery if more green. You don't want to over do it. My girls wore ice-blue dresses. My flowers were yellow and white tulips. Their flowers were yellow tulips with some kind of blue-ish purple flower--freesia I believe. Also, a skilled florist can certainly match something up for you!! Good Luck and HAVE FUN!

I had a similar problem. My color was royal blue. Blue is one of the hardest color to dye flowers. My floral designer was able to do a few blue flowers. For the rest, I used white flowers. The contrast between the rich blue and the white was very dramatic.
