What I do: Hold your breath for twenty seconds and then immediately take seven sips of water in rapid succession. Try not to breathe inbetween; basically, no air from start until finish.

take a deep breath and hold your breath for about 30 to 40 seconds. Maybe breathe through a paper bag.
