If the people involved are mutually consenting adults and no one is harmed (including emotionally), then IMHO there's nothing wrong with it. It's pleasurable, it can strengthen a depth of emotion between two people, and it's fun. It's a part of life.

I say it is worthwhile to get a little practice first so you know what you are doing when you meet "the one". Also you can't deny the love and intimacy of those souls you are destined to meet that you were not meant to marry. Intimacy is vital to human development. Besides, all relationships are a marraige in a sense, just some are legally recognized and more public. Official marraiges are no different than unmarried relationships; they can end or break up, and many only last a short time. Ultimately you have to do what feels right to you. Religion doesn't necessarily have the answer.

I think it is okay. I've had sex and im not married, but i've only had sex with one women and we have been together for awhile, going on five years. As long as someones not sleeping around with different people constantly I see no problem. Also as long as you care and have deep feelings for one other. The only reason im not married is because of the lack of money, dont have enough for a ring that I think is good enough for her. Too much school loans. Just my 2 cents.

Would you purchase a vehicle without test driving it? If you answered yes, do you really think praying to God about how horribly it drives, handles and has crappy gas mileage is going to change that?
Then why get married before sex? Sex is an integral part of a relationship. Dont fool yourself.... What are you gonna do when your husband pulls out a tiny one that does nothing to satisfy you? PRAY!?!?! Good luck!

Dear member,
that's based on how people feel. certain religious people are hippocrits while others are non-chalant. In any case, sex is natural and happens anytime. Only wrong to the people whose religion says it is wrong but then again all religion was written by Man and not God or a higher divine being so who is to say who is wrong now.
kind regards,
Ben

There's nothing wrong with it. Personally I don't believe in marriage. A ceremony and a piece of paper doesn't prove that you love anyone, and doesn't justify anything. So, does that mean I should stay a virgin my whole life? Even if I love someone dearly?

I'm all for it. I believe that before you marry anyone you have to know that you are compatible in ALL areas to make a marriage successful and happy.

personally, I think that it is wrong. There are scientific reasons because the person you have sex with will exchange some of their DNA with you. Also, don't you see people about 90 or so look a lot like their spouce. How do you think that happens. It's not by chance. Just imagine all of the DNA of all of your partners.

I think it should be compulsory - and you only think it is wrong because of misguided religious indoctrination, based upon rules that were only relevant to society over 2000 years ago.
