The best thing to do is research the history of the church and read "The Demon Haunted World" by Carl Sagan. That'll help you along.

Yes, it happens sometimes, but it's just to help us grow. There will always be highs and lows. If you're always on the mountain top, then you'll never have to reach further out for God. If you want to get the passion back, then go on a trip with your church. Spend time fellowshipping and growing in God. Going to a Christian concert or event like the Harvest Crusade also helps. And ask God to rekindle the fire within you.

Getting desperate for what? We all struggle with faith sometimes. I just kind of take one day at a time. I know that God is always there for me, so I don't worry about it. You can't live your life in a state of perpetual passion, or you would be worn out.

I struggle quite frequently at times and when that happens I study and will sometimes go to a nice quiet park or up in the mountains where I can really get back to nature and God. A lot of prayer helps also.

Yes and believe the majority of people struggle w/their beliefs from time. Serious illness or death of family and friends causes you to rethink your beliefs. It also makes your faith stronger as you seek the Lord's help in going forward. War has a way of making us all have our faith tested. Again we gain strength in our faith to help us find answers or live with what we can't change. I don't really understand what a committed Christian means; do you go to church every Sunday or do you try to follow Christ's examples and live each day to help others?

God has not left you!!!
You're going through some struggles right now. Have you read your bible or spent time with God lately? When you read and pray, do you allow time for meditation and to reflect on what God is saying to you.
These are some of the things that help me when I'm struggling. I realize that I haven't been putting the time into my relationship with God.

I don't think any Christian could honestly answer this with a no. We are all human and as the word puts it, "leaky vessels". You need to do something to remind you of our loving Savior, and what He did for you. Something that always helps me get my passion in focus again is watching the Passion.

Yes, I feel as though i'm slipping, but mine was due to moving to a new area out in the sticks of VA. The navy chaplin out here did us wrong and sorta knocked me for a loop.
Just keep the faith and it will come back! We are only human!

I struggle with this all the time. Just keep reading God's word, spending time with other Christians And don't be afraid to search for answers to questions or doubts you have.

Searcher is right, you just have to take the time to hear the message. It may be a whisper. Read, pray, and spend time with those who are strong in their faith---you'll find the passion again!

yes i stuggle every day just about. we all do at one time or another. first if your not goping to one, find a church with a very active on fire GOD worship service and youth group. find a quiet private place and get down on your face, literally, and praise and worship GOD in prayer, read and study HIS WORD daily, listen to only christian music and don't watch anything on t.v.thats ugly, you have to keep your SPIRIT pure, doing your best to live a HOLY lifestyle of worship to GOD!!! confess your sins daily asking GOD for forgiveness and cleansing. the BIBLE says to "seek GOD with all your heart" and ALL these things will be added unto you. don't give up, try talking to a pastor or a trusted christian adult. GOD loves you and will never leave you or forsake you, HIS WORD promises, so don't worry. we all go through dry times, maybe GOD is trying to do something in your life, or lead in a specific direction. KEEP SEEKING HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
