Yes, it is totally awesome. Slept on the rooftop of a building with a bunch of other travelers in the Old City. Everyday I enjoyed a falafel and soda for only 6 shekles (that was back in 1999). Great deal for a young traveler on a budget. Lots of friendly people, those some haters, but all in all a pretty international place, with powerful history that you can feel.
