Solomon's Temple was destroyed long ago. However, it was located where the current Dome of the Rock is. Creates an interesting scenario that should play itself out in the next few years doesn't it?

It never existed.

There is no credible historical or archaeological evidence to support the claim any such temple existed.

"Secular evidence about a historical figure comparable to Solomon, reported independently from the religious accounts, seems scarce and so far no substantial evidence has been found. However various inscriptions have been found and excavations are continuing."

You would think a "temple" as grand as glorious as the one described in the bible would have left some evidence of its existence and the existence of its builder.

The temple destroyed by the Romans in 70 CE was not "Solomon's Temple."

Solomon's Temple is a fairytale, it never existed. The Knights Templar found the site where it was supposed to be and there was nothing to be seen. That's why the Church gave them free reign to do as they pleased, as long as they kept that secret.

in jerusalem...it was destroyed around 65 BC when the roman empire burnt the city to the ground. .a new temple was built in its place. it has been said (in the bible) that the building of the third temple would occur before the second comming of christ...which would lead to armagedon.

The "western wall" is the wall outside where the temple stood.

As far as I know, it has never been found. They claim it is under the Temple of the Rock which means they can not be proved wrong.
