Liverpools Robbie Fowler and Steve Mcmanaman a few years ago owned a horse, and the called it SOME HORSE. They felt it was a good idea for the commentator to say "and its some horse in front, or its some horse in second" etc. I went to a live race meeting and when it was running it got a great laugh with the crowd listening to this!

Race Night Horse Names

Any horse entered into a race must have no more than 18 letters in it's name so some of the names suggested would not be allowed. Although the horse can be given another name for the purpose of racing.

Personally I think Big Willie would be a good name. Imagine some of the phrases that would be used by the commentator during the race:

"And Big Willie is coming up the rear"

or

"And there's Big Willie at the front"
