me and my boyfriend broke up the other day well yesterday he said he would no longer like me to talk to him. well we both have a myspace and i keep sending messages and he reads them..so i guess thats good that hes listening to what i'm saying. but i wish he would talk back. well in the middle of me crying i started thinking well hey. even though we aren't talking and aren't going out maybe i'll make him dinner and thank him for everything he's done for me. and being true to me.
do you think thats okay that i asked him to come over for a thank you present.??
i didn't want to tell him that i was cooking dinner cuz i know he like suprises.
and i mean he likes my cooking and everything but i rather it be more of a suprise.
or do you think that's just completely pushing it??

and another question. he gave me this promise ring awhile ago. but he doesnt want me to give it back. but i don't think it's right that i keep it.
should i keep it or give it back to him??
thanks for the help

I understand that you want to still have some contact with him, but doing it this way, you're basically begging for his attention. When he said he didn't want to hear from you anymore you should have been done then. Having dinner with him isn't going to make you feel any better or change his mind about you. You can say thank you without handing him your dignity and self respect on a platter. Don't do it.

You are using the dinner and the ring as an opportunity to see him. Guys are funny. When they want to be left alone you HAVE to leave them alone. As you chase, they run faster.

Ever heard the nursery rhyme........leave them ALONE and they'll come home?.......

You will be more interesting to him if you can show him with your actions that you are not interested in him. NO CONTACT. DISAPPEAR. You can think of him, but don't let him know that. Don't show it.

He is enjoying the chase because it's boosting his confidence to feel that he is sooooooho ho desirable. And you are going to run him right back into the game to practice this ego boost on other women that YOU helped him to build!!!!

1st, Give him all the space he need's smothering him will only push him away. 2nd, he will talk to you when he is ready, if not he isn't going to want a friendship or further relationship. 3rd, don't make him dinner have a girls night out. Keep the ring or sell it. He doesn't want it for memories sake. looking at it will only remind him of you.

Wow girl you need to break it off completely. He told you he's not interested in you. He asked that you don't talk to him. Yes he may read your messages but a clue to you would be him not resopnding to them. He's not interested anymore. You guys just broke up. Find something else to occupy your time. If you force things on him it's only going to turn bad for you.

Pushing it? More like you are trying to crawl back.
I know it is hard, you obviously love him, but have some self respect. He doesn't want to talk so pick up the peices of your broken heart and move on!

BACK OFF HIM! If he dont want you forget him....if he does want you hopefully you will be strong enough to tell him F!@# Off and Die! Besides...that is always the best way to get to man who really cares.....just stop caring yourself.....dont react.....act like he dont matter, like he was never in your life, now behind closed doors cry your heart out, but dont let him know your hurting. They ALWAYS come back, it is almost ALWAYS to late then! OH AND KEEP THE RING GIRL!!!!! DONT GIVE ANYTHING BACK IT IS YOURS NOW!!!
