Tea bags - Even with a tea strainer you still get loose bits of tea...yuk..!!!

I personaly think that you get more flavour out of loose tea, you can use the same leaves more then once ( I have not had really good experience in trying to use the same tea bag for multipule cups of tea)
If you are worried about the loose leaves, there are filters and such that you can buy. My tea cup has a built in filter that strains it for me. I have also seen tea pots that are like this. No filter is completly perfect, but that is part of the joy of drinking tea.
If you look at how tea is drank in Asia, you almost never see teabags. These people really know their tea, so go with them!

definitely loose tea. most teabags are rubish. the best tea leaves are use for making loose tea, the crap ones are used in making teabags. well, u know which is better. some green tea need 70-80 degree celsus to make a great cup. some need 100. teabags dont matter.

loose tea is far fresher and more potent then tea bags.. just make sure you store it in an air tight container and purchase it in small quantities from a tea store. I love the green tea based fruit infused ones.. they're way better then any tea bag you could purchase.

And don't use a strainer or choke on the leaves.. you can purchase a special little metal mesh you put the tea leaves into (also from a specialty tea store) and it will act just like a tea bag filtering all the leaves from the water. The tea will have the best and most intense flavor. Tea bags are often very old by the time you get them and will have lost all flavor. (It's comparable to using fresh or dried herbs.. fresh is far more potent!!)

If you have the time, loose tea. If you are a serious dunker of biccies then teabags, other wise the tea leaves that get through to the bottom of the cup , (and theres always one or two),get washed up on the soggy biccies when you fish them out.

It has to be teabags, I hate drinking tea with all those little bits floating around in it!

loose tea, higher quality! Tea bags just have the remnants of tea leaves and they are almost always in cardboard boxes where the tea is overexposed to air and moisture. The only exception are pyramid shaped bags with full leaf tea inside (its like a disposable tea ball). I included my two favorite sites to get tea from.

I actually prefer loose tea. To me, it just tastes better, and is just as easy to use, as a teabag. I make pitchers of tea in my coffee maker, by using a coffee filter, and I make hot tea by the cup, by using a little teaball...it works great! :)
