your best friend should be someone who loves you and always looks out for your best interest, so if your best friend is your worst enemy it's time for some relationship spring cleaning. this is the type of unhealthy relationship you might find acceptable in high school, but should never have after college. i had some friends who didn't always have my best interest in mind until i was 20 and decided to “become an adult” and add another level of self respect to my life. i looked through my phone book and crossed through the name of anyone who was bad for me, then depending on how close we had been i either called them and told them that they had not been a good friend to me and i was moving on - very liberating when you realize that this is not so hard to do and really improves your life and adds closure so you don't have to feel passive aggressive - or i just ex-communicated them, if we weren't too close anyway...

good luck!

No my best friend has always been there for me no matter what. Even if we liked the same guy(rarely happens, different taste)we decide to just both let him go. She cries with me, she laughs with me, and now she is my daughter godmother and I would trust her with my life.

Contrary to common belief women can get along. If you're a woman who can't get along with another woman...maybe it's you.

I don't have many "girl" friends. In my experience, they just sit and wait to stab you in the back. I have more guy friends than girlfriends. It seems like guys are more honest with you , while girls will lie straight face just to make themselves look better.

I dont consider her my best friend anymore and yes it seemed she was. She never seemed to be happy for me if I met a guy and seemed to try to get in the middle.
