My dd is getting to where she will only finish one sippy cup of milk a day now. I even put choc or strawberry Quik in it to be more enticing. What do I do to get her her calcium? She'll eat yogurt and cheese, but gets sick of that too. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Good sources of calcium are:
All dairy products except butter
Dried peas and beans
Most dark leafy greens (beet, turnip, kale collards but NOT spinach or Swiss chard
Soft bones of small fish (salmon)
Fortified cereals, foods and juices
Vegetable sources for calcium, especially good if you do not like or can not tolerate dairy products
Add milk instead of water when preparing soups, hot cereals, pancakes or scrambled eggs
Wrap a tortilla around string cheese and warm in microwave
Sprinkle shredded cheese on salads, bake potato, casseroles
Mix fresh fruit with yogurt for breakfast or dessert or snack
Drink a milk shake or malt
Drink hot chocolate or chocolate milk
Use milk instead of water to cook corn on the cob, poach fish or chicken
For dessert choose puddings, custards, ice cream or frozen yogurt
Calcium fortified juice
Calcium fortified bread*

We had that problem too! Try giving her the chocolate milk in the dairy case that is already mixed that may work. I make yogurt shakes by blending a toddler size cup of yogurt with the milk and that works. If she still doesn't want it then just make sure that she gets her calcium from lots of other sources and don't worry so much about the milk. One of my sons is allergic to milk and drinks only Vanilla Silk if you wanna give that a try too.

Quik is too powdery, and can make some kids dislike the texture, no matter how hard you stir.....stop serving milk for a few weeks, she will be okay as long as you give her alternatives....introduce milk again and use a little chocolate syrup-hershey's is best---see if you can find quik in syrup form, it still tastes different, but has more nutrients.

When I was very young, my grand-uncle threw away my baby bottle to prevent me from drinking from it. Since then, I never drank milk and everytime I consume milk products, I have diarrhea. I believe it's a psychological thing.

You can get calcium from a lot of foods. I drink organic soymilk to replace milk, since I'm currently pregnant. Do some research online and see what other foods provide calcium. You can also consult your doctor and maybe he/she can provide some calcium chewables for your child.

You in my view have confidence her age to be sixteen... does not make her sixteen... and not even Muhammad wrote the Quran, so it relatively is totally uncertain that Aisha wrote something the two. only hearsay. And organic hypothesis to declare that what's written in the Quran is unquestionably Aisha's words and not somebody purely making up a tale to make it sound stable. it relatively is no longer regular for a 50 12 months previous guy to marry a sixteen 12 months previous lady. no longer the place i'm from, besides. it continues to be pedophilia. does not remember if the youngster in question expresses love for the abuser or no longer. it continues to be pedophilia. If the hadiths are unreliable, then why do loads of Muslims use them??????????

There are orange juices that are calcium fortified, and you can do lots of things with yogurt - give her fresh fruits and let her dip them in it, make a smoothie with it, give her grilled cheese sandwiches or quesadillas - remember, you're smarter than she is !
