Why do guys tell a girl they are going to call and never do?

Is this something that is coded into DNA? Or do they teach you at preschool?

Wow...guess I hit a real nerve with this one...wasn't expecting so many answers!!!!

And no...I didn't sleep with anyone...its just you get tired of guys asking for your number and you hope they call but never do

it is hardly a DNA issue, but more like a lack of oxygen entering the brain.

First of all, guys have this 2-3 day rule. After they get your number, they wait a few days. If they don't call by then, don't expect them too. Either they lost your number, or were doing that thing with their buddies to see who could get the most numbers.

There are many reasons. (In no particular order) 1. Ego/impress friends - he just wants to feel good about himself that he was able to get a number. 2. Beer - he was interested when he was drunk. Both guys and girls do that. Perhaps he doesn't remember what you look like or is shy when not drinking and is too embarrassed to call. 3. That's just what you do - Doesn't know how to end a conversation. Thinks that you like him and he doesn't want to disappoint you to your face. Kind of like when a girl gives a fake number. I am sure there are many other reasons too.

They may not feel an attraction but ask for your number anyway because in their illogical minds they do not want to hurt your feelings. Of course they don't realize that they will be hurting your feelings later on when you don't get the call you were expecting. Take the initiative and get their number and call them. They also are shy and afraid of rejection.

Because at the time of saying it, they thought it would be a good idea!, but after further thought, whilst on their own, they think, is she worth the effort!!, and is she really the person I want to be with in the first place!. They simply lack the courage and decensy to say it to your face!. Either that or they just plain forgot!!!. look at it this way....they loose both ways because they dont get to be with you and find out what a fantastic person you really are......well you are aren't you?.

Because guy's are duche bags, and can't make sense of why females like them. I am so glad i got a good man. Try saying give me your number I'll call you and then don't call them. See how they like it. Try to date guy's a little bit older than you, it may work out better. Date don't be boyfriend and girlfriend just causes to much drama, dating isn't saying hey I wanna get married to you, it's saying I think your cool and we will se how tonight goes than If all good we will hook up again. Cause we are so worried that the girl will make a scene, and start to cry, that some guys will lie in order to get away. Or if sex is involved some guys think it will get the girl out. Or you can just accept the fact that they are insecure a**holes!
