Okay, I got a little experimental on a marinade. I used 1 cup Italian dressing, some chili powder, garlic powder, cracked pepper and Lawrys seasoning salt. I coated the 3 chicken breasts in the dressing then applied the dry seasoning...Will this turn out any good for grilled chicken or should I change it/add anything to it? Will the chili powder flavor taste gross mixed w/the dressing flavor?

Did you already put all of the marinade on the chicken? If not dip your finger in it and try it. If you put all of it on the chicken, don't touch the raw chicken and put it in your mouth. You could get just a little bit of the dressing and add a little of the chili pwder and taste to get an idea.

you probably should have marinated the chicken in the italian dressing for 8 hours or overnight in the frig. then removed the chicken and applied your dry seasonings. be careful when using lawry's because it contains a lot of salt in the spice mixture! your chicken still should taste pretty good!

Sounds fine as long as the chili powder amount was small.

Sounds good to me. From what I can tell it's really hard to go wrong with marinades, just about everything tastes good :-)
