Why is this a big deal. Why does Robin McGraw think that this is the wedding of year/ the century. Wouldn't the money have been better spent donated to a charitable organization. What do you think. I am disgusted.

I didn't hear about it, but I'm happy for him. And I believe Robin has a right to spend however much she wants. Their family donates millions of dollars a year to charitable organizations - they are the founders of the Dr. Phil Foundation. I could see your point if it was some celebrity that never cared about anybody but himself, but this family seems to really care and they do help the world around them. Giving their son a superhuge, glamorous wedding is their perogative. What about the couple that was on Platinum Weddings, spending over $850,000 on a wedding, I doubt they contribute much to charitable organizations. Just becuase they are famous (the McGraws) doesn't mean we can be nosy and judgemental about what they do. It's their business. And besides, if your dad was Dr. Phil wouldn't you want a great wedding??

I think everyone has the right to have a wedding... and it's none of my biz how much money someone makes and what they spend on their wedding. You could say that about anyone's wedding include your own.

I just don't care about Dr Phil or his son and I just don't understand what people fascinations with famous/rich people are......

I think Dr. Phil is a joke- and anyone who goes on that show is just one step away from Jerry Springer.
The best thing we can all do is NOT watch the wedding or Dr. Phils crappy show.

Every mother thinks her child's wedding is the wedding/event of the year.
Any yes, the money could have been donated.
But that's the case with all of us. We should all stop planning these lavish ceremonies, wonderful receptions, wear jeans, and go to the courthouse.

Could really care less. If you ask me, the McGraw's cash could've been better spent on therapy for their children...they probably need it desperately.

I don't really care to be honest, but you have to admit anyone that could afford a wedding like that would certainly dish out the money for it! lol!

I guess I didn't care at all because I didn't even know that until I read your question. That whole family makes me sick.
