Hi,
I would say that it is not just men, let me put it this way, in general people break off contact or as they say "burn off the bridge" so that the other person cannot have any further contact thinking it will hurt less.
But, I personally feel it hurts a lot when someone you love so dearly leaves without even giving you a chance to know where it went wrong....I think if people talk and then part there ways it will good for all parties concerned. By doing, no one will be hanging in between the line, I mean, how can they know if you are going to get back in there life ever again or should they wait for you or just move -on......loving a person and loosing them is a pain but, loving a person and not knowing why that person left you all of a sudden is worse....
I request every one to please think on this point and never leave anyone without having a talk. Communication is the key to success to any relationship and communication is expressing, please talk, express and if the relation still does not work, take a break and try to get back, but, please never just break off contacts.

If this is about a specific man, then that is his problem and you are better off not having a dishonest person sharing your intimate life.
If it is about men in general, I would have to disagree and voice the opinion that if would be fairer to say it is about people in general.
Doesn't take away the pain or the anguish I know, but don't let it colour your next relationship. Which I hope is more honest for you. Good luck on that!

They don't want to deal with the emotional outburst that breaking up will cause. It's easier to walk than talk.

some men are hopeless at breaking up - some even treat their girlfriends so badly that she dumps him - then expects everyone to feel sorry for him

Yes, it's sad but true. When I first started dating my hubby two other girls showed up in the first month claiming to be his girlfriends! He told me they were ex's - but I don't think he told them!

if their like me its cos they hate to c someone in pain cos of their actions. so telling someone to their face ur finishing things and seeing the hurt...........well cant do it. and b4 u all get at me.....i know its wrong
