She used her potty once so she knows its okay to pee without her diaper on but now she keeps pulling her diaper or pull ups off and peeing on the floor. What can I do to brek her from that so she will still want to potty on her toilet?

Here it is- it has worked for my 2 kids, and others after I tell them........

1. get m and m's handy
2. get a small potty chair
3. get a couple books about potty
4. you need to be home for about 4-5 days straight
5. now you can start. let them run around bare-but
6. Set the timer for 1/2 hour. Tell him/her to sit on the potty for 5 min. (read them a book in the mean time if it's to long for them.) If they go, give lots and lots of praise!!! I mean go crazy!! Give them about 3 m and m's.
7. Set the timer for 1/2 hour
8. Avoid asking the question "you got to go potty?'
9. Timer goes off- ok! What does that mean junior? Time to go potty again he or she would say, or you say it if they don't
10. repeat process all day long. If they go # 2 in the potty, reward with a handful of m and m's. They are very colorful and kids love them!!

11. Praise praise praise. I do spank my kids for behavior problems such as lying, disobedience, and bad attitudes, but never for having an accident. If there is an accident, clean it up queitly, and don't say much at all. Remind them it's ok, but try to make it in the potty next time, or in your own words.

Good luck!!! Hope this helps you. My girl was potty-trained in two days with the method. Took my 2 1/2 year old son a week. Leave pull-ups on them at night just in case.
p.s. if this doen't work at all, try again in a few months.

You may just have to watch her carefully and when you think she has to go take her to the potty chair and sit there with her for a little while to try and get her to go in it. Bring a book for her to look at or something to amuse her so she doesn't try to run off too soon. She'll get it eventually. She may not be ready to potty train yet. They all start at different times. Mine and most of the kids I work with in a nursery usually get potty trained between 2 1/2 and 3 years old.

This is good progress especially for a 20 month old. Watch her like a hawk and when you see her trying to pull that diaper off, rush her over to her potty which should always be near by...even if it's in the kitchen. Have it in plain sight at all times. GL!

Everytime you see her start to pull it off, take her to the potty. When she uses it, talk about what a big girl she was. When she pees on the floor, take her to it and show her what she did. Don't yell or get angry. Just show her and say, "Opps, you missed the potty." Then take her to the potty chair and remind her that this is where you pee. Patience will get you there, dear.

Ive been told that pull ups are the biggest waste of money, they need to feel the wet on their skin to know its uncomfortable. Pull ups are just like diapers.
My neighbor trained her daughter in 3 days, it was hell on earth. theres a book called potty train in one day ( really takes 3 days ) but your child has to be ready cause it has some pretty harsh punishments for accidents.

good luck

that's amazingly exciting to me because of the fact i'm instruction my 20month old daughter now. i'm able to comprehend that paying for 2 contraptions of daipers would be high priced and one getting into diapers and one popping out is the main suitable answer. i be conscious of an excellent sort of those that try this. I made helpful she replaced into waiting. she would be able to "wipe" pull down her very own clothing, say pee pee, you be conscious of the generic evey new child is diverse. yet first ingredient contained in the morning i positioned my daughter on the potty. they generally use it from preserving all of it evening. Plus i do no longer provide her a cup earlier she is going to sleep. an excellent sort of compliment. I take her each and every hour to get her into the recurring. Its commencing as much as artwork yet we've the BMs she is getting there. each and every new child potty trains at a diverse time so somewhat make helpful she is waiting that's my third attempt. solid success! enable me be conscious of in case you have suggestions besides.

She's only 20 months so jsut because she did it once doesn't mean she KNOWS how to do it. She may not remember. Also, she may not be ready. Pushing her or punishing her for accidents will definitely backfire. What I would do & have done is jsut wiat. When she's ready she'll go. My 2 yr old jsut woke up one Saturday morning & said I ened to potty & has been trained ever since. Good luck

Potty training happens when the CHILD wants it,
not the PARENT.

Make her sit down every hour or hour and a half on the potty. I've just finished training my child, and it's not easy. you just have to have an extreme amount of patience.

Try showing her you doing it yourself, when you have to pee take her to the bathroom with you and showing her the proper way to do it, as silly as it is, give word by word instructions and then give her candy or stickers everytime she does is properly.
Good Luck :)
