If you break a larger solar cell, it is still a solar cell with less surface area and current capability. You will need to solder new wires onto the solar cell pieces - not always easy.

You cannot effectively cut individual solar cells: they are fragile, and the electrical connections extend over the entire cell. Panels, consisting of varying numbers of complete cells, are available from various vendors; one such is Pacific Power Batteries [use Google for their web site]. There is at present no such thing as a photovoltaic decal.
