I think that's the Book of Mormon you're talking about.

Actually, he owned a large home on the lake in the resort city of Capernaum
His clothing was expensive enough that the soliders who crucified him gambled over it
If he wore his hair in the style of his day, his hair would have been just over his collar, with earlocks
When he travelled, he had no only his disciples, but several women who helped out, plus some of the disciples (like Peter) brought their wives alone
There is no scripture anywhere in which Jesus asked for money. The one time were he was in need of money, he had Peter caught a fish and there was money to pay the taxes in the fish's mouth
He was well received by most of the people in the area and popular to the point where it said he was not even able to get away long enough to eat, so he had to retreat into the desert to get way at times
When he spoke, the crowd numbers in the thousands
He did not start a religion, rather he brought to fullfilment one that had already been around for thousands of years
And I think he might have validated his claim to be on a mission from God when he ressurected from the dead

Depends on which Jesus you are referring to...
From the Gospel Accotding to Mark....Chapter 13....
5 Jesus, answering, began to tell them, "Be careful that no one leads you astray.
6 For many will come in my name, saying,' I am he!' and will lead many astray.
7 "When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, don't be troubled. For those must happen, but the end is not yet.
8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places. There will be famines and troubles. These things are the beginning of birth pains.
9 But watch yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils. You will be beaten in synagogues. You will stand before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them.
10 The Good News must first be preached to all the nations.

Thanks for the introduction. Jesus was no homosexual. Neither am I; however, I'm sure that Jesus had as much love for homosexuals as He had for anyone else. He didn't judge people because of their sins. He came to DELIVER people from their sins. It was the religious nuts of the day, the Scribes, Pharisees, and Saducees... much like the Jerry Faldwell, right wing "religious" types of our day, who issued words of condemnation on people for their sins.
Instead of acting high and mighty and condemning people for their sins, Jesus had compassion on the people and dwelled among them to help them. Jesus and His disciples didn't ask for tithes. He just asked people to pitch in and work together however they could. If everyone followed the actions of Jesus and the disciples rather than the teachings of modern religions, this would be a much better world in which to live.
For those who are religious zealots... Take the log out of your own eye before you try to remove the mote from mine.

I find this very offensive. Why are you wasting your time and ours being an agitator? This forum is for religious and spiritual discussion. ADULT discussion, not childish remarks such as this.
