Quark is a state of the art program for text editing and layout for print media. You can put pictures, charts etc. in your layout. Quark is used by graphic artists for newspaper and magazine ads / stories. Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop do other things that can work with Quark. They can format photos and Illustrator can be used to create images.
