I saw a bathroom done like that they did that they painted the cabinets a dark chocolate brown- in a high gloss finish. Then painted the walls a robin egg blue. Black and White photos.
For the decorative towels. Take new white towels and gather with a dark brown satin ribbon.
It will look very elegent .

What are the cabinets made of?
There is a paint called cabinet rescue for synthetic surfaces, but I'm told that you can only go so dark with that otherwise you are diluting the product too much.
If the cabinets are already painted, you have to figure out what kind of paint has been used. Oil based or latex.
If I were you, I'd take a drawer or a door off and drag it into Home Depot and ask one of the paint people to tell you what to do, with what you've got. If you cover over the cabinets with the wrong stuff, it will be disastrous! Too hard to give you advice over the net. Take it to a professional.
My Mom painted her cabinets, with the cabinet rescue. Teal. Turned out really good, the second time!

It's a wood stain, or wood veneer. Brown paint is going to look like brown paint. Dark brown in a bathroom on fixtures doesn't look clean.
You should get some home decorating and remodeling magazines to get ideas.
That's a wood grained brown veneer, or brown wood stain on the furniture, not paint.

How good are you at portray? you've gotten one good colour or you may spruce it up with 2 making use of a sponge. i have executed this to blend the lavatory into the bedroom with colorings. It words ok. i doesn't use more effective than 2 in case you've not executed it formerly. in case you do, bypass with the lesser colorings like the cream and raspberry possibly. With this gadget you may want to be careful inspite of the undeniable fact that the outcomes might want to correctly be incredible.

I think it sounds great. Go for it.
But, don't leave the walls white. Do a dark color for the walls to tie it all in together.:)
Have fun!
