My boyfriend has done this and he tells me he just wants to make new friends. I have made up a fake name and I talked to him on it. he told the fake name he did have a gf and he loved her with all his heart. He didn't know it was me untill I told him.. Maybe I should start talking to other people online to see what he says about it. The only people I talk to are family or friends that I have had since grade and high school

It's fine, I do it too. My wife never liked it until she hopped on Myspace and saw for herself. It's just a fun diversion and what's wrong with meeting new people as long as it's not under false pretenses? I tell everybody I talk to that I'm married, and most of the time I'm just reconnecting with people I knew in the past, but I do talk to some new people too.
The difference is, you're not interested in meeting new people, you'd only be doing it to see if you get a reaction from him. He's doing it out of a genuine interest in meeting new friends, likely guys and girls. He's not trying to meet new girls or cheat on you, obviously. Sounds like you may have some trust issues, and that's the root of the problem.

it sounds to me like you are not trusting your boyfriend very much, i think you need to loosen up some.
maybe you are suspecting him because you might feel tempted to cheat on him if you were online talking to new people all of the time, i'm not saying this is your problem, but it is something to think about.
i talk online to other guys and it bothers my b/f only if i'm talking to him on the phone at the same time, so i only talk to them when it doesn't take up "our" time.

if hes telling people that he has a girlfriend, hes doing nothing wrong, he probably just does want to meet new people, if you want to talk to people online, do it, but not because he is.
