Real aspirin comes from WHITE Willow Bark. Which is white. They could have added coloring (and some companies do), but white looks pure to the average customer... and purity is important when it comes to drugs.

They didn't MAKE it white, it is a white powder pressed into pill form. Just be glad they didn't think it would be cute to make them a color and then later find out the dye is toxic.

They don't make it white thats the way it turns out. It is made from the bark of a weeping willow tree.

It's cheaper to leave it in the white form that it comes in naturally than it is to add color.

'they" didn't, it was white. you can get it coloured, coated or flavoured now. thats been done for various reasons like making it more palatable for people who have to chew it (heart attack victims) or 'enteric coated" so it doesn't cause stomach problems.
