The list would be much shorter if you asked "What can I bring on a plane?" I for one take no carry-on's. Have all bags checked. If you must have a carry-on then check with your airline. Guns, bombs and drinking water are a no,no for sure!

Sve yourself a lot of hassle and pack your carry-on with clothes only. Pack your toiletries in a separate bag and check it. If the airlines lose your checked bag, it won't be the end of the world and you will breeze through security with not products that need to be tossed.
