That would indeed be the case. He has planned everything out for us and knows everything we are ever going to do (because he is omniscient), so therefore he knew that they were going to eat the fruit. If someone argues it was their free will, that seems to indicate that God is not omnipotent in his planning of the Universe.
My question still is if God is omniscient, why does he have to ask where Adam is in the garden (Genesis 3:9)? Shouldn't he know that information ahead of time?

God possesses two types of Will: active and permissive. For example, it was His active Will that the Red Sea part so Moses and the chosen people could walk on dry sand to the other side; it was His permissive Will that Adam and Eve rebel against Him to eat the forbidden fruit. It was part of His plan because He knew from the beginning what would happen; but that doesn't mean He WANTED Adam and Eve to disobey.

I don't think he got angry, He gave BOTH of them specific instructions not to eat the forbidden fruit. And both sinned. We are not puppets for God. God has given us specific duties and we must make sure we are being responsible.
Further more, I don't see why everyone is always comming down on Adam and Eve for thier actions. For God's sake, they were the first of humanity and had absolutely no experience in dealing with Satan. He repented and was forgiven. Now look at us, we do bad actions everyday, and sometimes don't repent, and sometimes when we do repent we do the sin again. This wasn't the case for them, let's cut them a little slack......

OK, I don't really think God was "mad" at Adam and Eve, he knew that ultimately what they did had to happen, and it had to happen by their own accord. I think that the Bible has been a little zigged and zagged different ways by man. God has a plan and unfortunately man has to do some "bad" things/sins to make that plan happen. If Eve didn't eat the forbidden fruit, none of us would be here now, so it had to happen eventually, and who's to say it didn't take thousands of years for Eve to finally eat the fruit and let the devil influence her decisions. Things that make you go "hmmmm..."

Well think about it if you had a child and you love this child with all your heart. as you raise the child you already know that your child will make some mistakes in life. And when it comes you will be upset so you can show him right from wrong. God didn't want them to sin although He knew they were. He did get disappointed not angry so He can let them know that what they did was wrong.

God "allows" trials in our paths in order to test our faith.
Adam and Eve were told not to eat from the forbidden tree, but were tempted by Satan. If we all listened to what God asks of us, we would be stronger against Satan's advances and be better caretakers of His world.
When we are tempted to lead others to sin or to emotional or physical pain, we are working at Satan's level. Why would we want others to suffer? How will this help us to grow as people?
God didn't want them to eat from that tree, so that was a trial. It was recorded for our benefit to illustrate a simple commandment. If we follow God's word and commandments, we are destined for victory!

No. God never planned evil. God did not want Adam to eat from the tree and he knew he would. Would a mom get mad at her son for going to concert he wasn't supposed to go to if she saw him leaving?

ahh the beauty of the God given gift of grace. God told adam and eve not to eat the frobidden fruit. They went and disobeyed him. Through eating the fruit they basicly gave a part of them to satan. God doesnt want that. Yes he has a plan, but we have the gift of grace which give us the ability to decide on our own what to do. God never forces us to do anything. Sometimes we wander off the path, but we can come back to it. God will bring you back to his plan. God does ultimatly know where we are going and what we will do. I mean hes God.

Ok, think about it this way. You know your child is going to do something bad at some point (hit another child, eat food when you've told them not to, etc). Do you not get mad at them, even though you know they'll do something bad? He created Adam and Eve with free will and told them not to. He knew they would, but that doesn't mean he wants them to do it. So when they do what they aren't supposed to, they get punished.

Looks like you've been listening to Satan again, Pal.
First, It doesn't say He was mad; He hto punish them because GOD ALWAYS KEEPS HIS WORD!Did you get it that time.
Contrary to what Satan does, God cannot lie. So Adam & Eve made the choice...(so what if God knew in advance, God didn't force them to choose)...and the Word of God (expulsion from the garden ) had to take place.
God also knew in advance you were going to post this dumb question , DOES THAT MEAN HE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR YOU DOING IT?
