Well, there are extremist fanatics in every religion. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. So, keeping this in mind, the extremists in the jewish religion started this myth that God said their religion and people were "the chosen" people and would get special treatment no matter what. So basically around the 1900s, they started this concept of "Zionism" which was supposed to rule the whole world. The moderates among the jewish people were against this and warned them by saying that it would backfire and make the jewish religion shrink instead of expanding. So basically that is the background information to your question.

Don't confuse "Israeli's" with "jews" and don't confuse "Jew" with "Judaism." Though they are related they are distinct.
God entered a covenant relationship with Abraham, later with Israel-of-the-past (the people descended from Abraham), and finally Jesus brought a new covenant that fulfilled and ended the old covenants.
Judaism has yet to accept or recognize the new covenant aside from Messianic-Judaism and Christianity, mainly because it recognizes Gentiles as being the same as Jews.
A covenant is a special relationship, but it doesn't make the holder of it special. That's where arrogance can and has come from.
However, even though Jews did not keep their side of the covenant, God always fulfills His part of it...not necessarily exactly the way they want Him to.
Some times you dn't get a prize because you are a loser. Other times you don't get it because you're not the winner. Are those the same thing or different? Hmmm....

No that's not true - the same question I asked a Rabbi, and he said that Jews are speacial only in the way that they've received a word of G-d and it's their responsibility to bring it to the whole world. In no other way they feel they are better or more special that any other people. However, if you take a look at last 200 years in history - Jews did a whole lot for the world (must be something special there).

Yes. Chosen people. Gods only people.
The desert god was the god of the jews exclusively. The muslims started worshiping god as Allah but they are basicly the same people as the jews anyway (both decenants of Abraham).
The Jews who followed the christ kept their god and just let other people in on the game of being special to him. I wonder if he knows or cares?

No, it's not true -- and it's one of the most common misconceptions about Israel and Judaism.
The Bible tells us that the Jews were God's "chosen people" -- but this does not mean that they are "special" in the way you describe.
Rather, it means that they were "chosen" for a particular responsibility -- to live their lives in a certain way, one that's pleasing to God and one that constantly recognizes His presence.
It's about responsibility and commitment -- not about special privilege or superiority over other people.

yep, they do truly believe they're special.
What they 4get is that some Christians believe they killed Christ!
not by their hand but by the occupying Romans, without any protest from the Jews.
i can assure bro Micheal above if the Jews R the chosen people of Jehovah ( which i totally dispute) his chosen people Wouldn't BREAK HIS COMMANDMENTS!
Thou shalt not KILL!
& AS 4 BLIIGGAs above WHY R U SPOUTING THE NEW TESTAMENT in defence of JEWS, WHEN THE JEWISH NATION DO NOT BELIEVE IN IT?
Ha ha ha ha the only bible passages they use 4 the basis of their right 2 Exist in the Middle East, is from the BIG BIT OF THE BIBLE THAT THEY DON'T ACCEPT!

Wow. What a "subtle" attempt to villianize israelis.
To answer your "question": No, it is not true.
And, as it happens to be, Israelis are exceptionally hard workers and are smart people, which is why in their short history they have quickly built one of the most advanced nations in the world.

The message that was recieved was intended to evolve as all things which are subject to the natural laws of the universe do.
All people who have faith in the message recieve the benifits. Time will reveal this to all.

They bear witness in customs, sacred feasts, language, and genealogy to God's most powerful altars and covenants. Their Patriarchs seeded India and Pakistan--Esther 1;1, Africa--Amos 9:7. In the Book of Jeremiah, God compared her to a wife that had abandoned her husband; yet He longed for her return. Does that mean that they can do as they please and not be punished--God says that He chastens those He loves. Check Psalm 78--a recap of Israel's history.
