The standar rule of thumb for dating is to take the man's age, divide it by two and add 7. So if he is 30, he shouldn't date anyone younger than 22. Having said this, she is a legal adult and can make up her own mind. Still seems a little creepy to me!

I'd suggest that unless she wants to risk her dad and her boyfriend getting into a fistfight, she should consider declining the offer.

I don't think the ages are an issue - at 19 a person should have some idea who they wish to date - but the risk to her relationship with her father, and her father's relationship with his friend, seems a bit more than she might want to deal with.

From my opinion I think that your friend should stick to people her own age but if she likes older guys then maybe she could try it out and see how it goes
