Right, an old trick but a classic.
As soon as they have bitten you, or as soon after as possible, push your nail into the bite until it hurts a little, then do it again to make a cross.
This will not only stop the itching, but also take away the swelling. Then stick a little eucalyptus cream on it.
Bingo!!!

an estringent, like witch hazel, may help with the poison. and there are creams you can use, ask at a pharmacy. then you'll have these things in your house for the next time and can make them go away immediately.

I have 23 on my legs (I'm in India) and the ones that I didn't itch went away in 2 days. I also applied antiseptic and some anti itch cream...if you don't itch them they disappear super fast. Anti itch cream is your friend.

First do not scratch. Take a shower. Put lotion on it preferably anti itch.
On a side note vinegar or pee works well on jellyfish stings.

put some sabila... or any lotion with aloe vera... try to find some menthol too... it will cool off the redness
