No never ever unless you want a slap. Its a huge insult and no woman will ever date a man, even if he's handsome, if the pinch comes before the wedding ring....

It depends on your relationship with the lady. If you two have that kind of relationship a pat is okay. If you are pinching, patting, or pulling on a lady's bum as you call it and you don't know her, she may slap the hell out of you. So I guess the choice is all up to you sweetie!

How crass, one never pinches a ladies derriere, one simply would never be so crude as to pat a ladies derriere either, ladies please explain to this man that we are not pieces of Plasticine or bit of pastry to be pinched or patted, the man needs educating.

Pinching = bad
Light pat = flattering
(providing my hubby isn't with me, in which case I would tell him and you would NOT be happy....)
Moral: Don't randomly pinch OR pat women's bums without their permission.
