Do any of you guys/girls have a problem with your mate having friends of the opposite sex?

I don't trust my boyfriend around other girls when they are alone even though he says they are just friends. The situation is also vice versa he doesn't like my male friends either. Any suggestions on how to get over our insecurities?

Both of you need to realize that trust is everything, but also go with your gut instinct if it tells you that these friends get extra benefits let him go. ......If you both disagree with the other having friends then become each others bf and if you break up you can both be miserable because no one will talk to you for burning bridges

You can compromise and only go out with your male friends when your bf is able to go with you and vice versa.

Or you can both not see these ppl who instill the question in each other.

Finally try talking it through. It is easy to say 'trust each other' but personally i know that these insecurities are not easily gotten rid off.

i think the best is to find mutual friends- maybe other couples, etc so that you can both enjoy the company of each other as well as other ppl.

Work on getting to know your bf, and vice versa. trust is something that has to develop over time. Don't commit your heart to him too much until you can trust him somewhat. Until then you be true to him and check if he will do the same.

If I know the guy my wife is hanging out with is alright, then I usually don't have a problem. However, if I know what is on his mind, forget it.

My wife does not like me to hang out with other females. I can be a bit of a flirt and she has a problem with that, which is fine by me.

I say get to know the people that the other person is hanging out with. If, after that, there is still a problem then that person should respect the wishes of the one who is offended.

Maybe it would help your relationship if you had some boundaries - for example, you don't see friends of the opposite sex too late at night, or in a place that's private...
Why don't you trust each other? Don't you believe that it's you that he wants to be with?

Do anyof his friends that are girls have a little "crush" on your man? if they do you have a right to not trust him but if he loves you like you want him to and you get along really good maybe you shouldnt not trust him! same for him too. maybe check up on him every now and then just to make sure.

if everything is clear, then there should be no problem. guys and girls can be friends, but sooner or later, one of them will start having feelings for the other and then things get weird
