Yes. Everyone I know now as adults who are sexually over active have been traumatized sexually as children. Every single one. I am unsure of the mechanism but as an example, a small girl who is sexually abused by her father seeks to recreate that experience in later relationships. They tell me this is what happened to me but I have no memory of it really. When I was told that though a few years ago I stopped looking for a relationship at all. It all seems true to me. Each man I've had in my life I wanted to be just like my father. Now that I accept this no man appeals to me. Something isn't it?

It depends. Remember that correlation does not equal causation.

Victims of childhood sexual abuse often exhibit inappropriate or inhibited sexual drives as adults.

If a person has an overactive sex drive as an adult and they are able to direct it in a healthy, open manner, then this could simply be a matter of hormones.

When a child is sexually abused he/she has a distorted vision of what love is supposed to be. Later in life the overactive sex drive is the victim seeking love the only way they know how.

No, there aren't any evidence of correlation of childhood sexual abuse and an overactive sexual drive as an adult. If anyone who was sexually abused as a child, they would feel very awkward having an overactive sexual drive. At times, they may even be scared at any given moment.

Some studies might show this, but remember Correlation does NOT EQUAL Causation. Ever. Period.

I've heard this is true as well. People as they grow tend to be very attracted to the things they feared as a child, things like spanking, sexual abuse, ect.
