my mum loves photo's, if your mum is the same why don't you take some of her photo's and get them put onto a DVD disk so she can watch them on here DVD player with a nice background song to it. i done this for my mum and she loved it soo much.. and it never cost much to do! good luck with whatever you chose, and don't worry because she's you mum and all she probably wants is for you to be with her on her birthday which cost's nothing..

Buying my Dad a telescope for his 60th, something all the family can use. Check some out on ebay. Also I sell magnetic jewellery with lovely stones on them and they make fantastic birthday presents. What about hiring out your local cinema and getting all her friends together and have a slide show with all your old family photos? Only a crazy idea, something unique though. good luck.

for my dads 50th birthday my brother and i booked him a helicopter ride over edinburgh, his hometown.

a 60th birthday is a big event, so give your mum a day to remember, a spa treat or a night in a fancy hotel. a west end show would also be a good idea....my stepmum still goes on about seeing 'mama mia' on her 40th birthday!

Get her a gift experience. Something she would normally never do and pay for yourself to go along too. That way you are buying her a precious memory and there is nothing more important than those!
