Is this the kind of twitching where if you look in the mirror, you can't actually see the twitching, but you can feel it?

If so, I know what you are talking about, then :) For me it has always been stress related...the week before exams...other high stress times in my life, my eye will twitch for a week or two, then it'll go away.

An eye could twitch for many reasons. Maybe your eye sight is getting a little worse. Have you noticed yourself straining harder to read or see things?
It could be stress or diet related, although you already ruled out a diet change.
It could also be was is know as an eye stigmatism. My brother had one. It wasn't really a health problem but his eye would kinda twitch back and forth and he couldn't controll it.
If you can't see your eye twitching in the mirror I wouldn't worry about it unless it doesn't quit within a few days and gets very bothersome. If it really bothers you terribly I would go see an eye doctor.

eye twitches, or tics, can generally be tied to stress. have you been more stressed than usual, of late? if not, see a doctor. hell, see a doctor, anyway - college loans don't pay themselves! seriously, though, you might try to get a nurse on the phone, from a hospital (good luck!), or a free clinic (many towns have 'em).
