I am hopefully starting my student teaching in Jan 07 and wanted to be placed at my daughter’s elementary school, for the convenience of being there and I love the school as well. I am planning to speak with the principal in the coming days and ask her to please consider me to do my student teacher at her school. What do you say? Or ask? Any advice will be so much appreciated. Any hints tips...

I am a student teacher and would appreciate the opportunity to spend time here. My daughter attends school here and I feel she is receiving an excellent education. I would benefit from learning from the staff and would appreciate being considered.

Just be yourself and exude self confidence> Know what grade level you want to teach and what your strengths are, and be prepared to answer these questions. Spend some time getting to know the Principal as well, if she likes you it goes a long way to impacting her hiring judgement.
