me and my guy been togther for about a yearand a half now and i do know that i love him and im in love with him but now im getting to the point to say it now and everytime i do all he say is smooches and i say it back and it gets to me and the thing is i know he loves me to because he shows it but its like he cant say it what is the problem .

Perhaps the word itself is scary for him. Some people are like that. I know you want him to aleast show you he loves you by telling you with words the same way you tell him. If this is really bothering you then sit him down and talk to him about it. Tell him your feelings where this is concerned, and ask him why is it he hasn't told you I love you, when you say it to him all the time. That's the only way you will ever know. Good luck!!!

Lot's of guys have a problem saying the word love because I honestly think a lot of them take the word more seriously than women. I hope that doesn't sound arrogant, but you have to admit that a lot of men do try to be chivarous. Another part of being chivalrous is not just saying you love someone if you're not entirely sure of it first. Give him time, he'll say it when he realizes you are the one.

Maybe he isn't ready to say it...some people take longer than others.
Don't let it get to you to much...maybe you should ask him? Maybe he is afraid that since you guys have been together for such a long time, that if he says it...it will ruin what you have. Or he could just not like that word.

It seems like the relationship is getting to the point of either going to the next step...or breaking up...either one must not be easy for him to deal with...have you told him?! You can't fix the problem if you can't tell him about it!! Good luck.
