Is there a product or device that will let you turn a car's cigarrette lighter/charger into a standard wall outlet? I'm thinking there must be a simple adpater you can plug into your car, which would save some money on buying a car charger for every device you own (i.e. cell phones, dvd players, mp3 players, ect) since you could just use the standard charging cord.

Do these exist?
How well do they work?

Yes, it's called an AC inverter. You will need to make sure you get one that supplies adquate wattage for your devices (150 watts is enough for most). I don't recommend cheap walmart inverters, try radio shack. There are different levels of quality. Typically the cheaper ones will burn out if you use them for more that a couple hours at a time. You can get better ones that actually connect directly to your battery terminals and have multiple power jacks.

Sure, Its called an inverter, they come in a great range of outputs and sizes. Some are small enough to fit directly in your lighter plug, and some are so large they have to be mounted under the hood and be wired into the cars electrical system. They are rated in wattage output. Check the wattage input requirements on your devices and get an inverter with about 50% more output than you need.

There are inverters that you'll be able to plug into the motorized vehicle which will convert it to a wall plug, there are converters that plug into the wall or the motorized vehicle and turn right into a usb, so i'm particular there is a few thing accessible that plugs right into a wall and provide you with with a automobile variety outlet.

Yes, they exist. For your car go to Radio Shack and ask them. If they don't carry them, go to the nearest truck stop and get a 200 watt power inverter.

They are pretty cheap at Wal-Mart. Look in the automotive section.
