The 'Rapture" happens when Jesus returns at the 7th trump. Our Heavenly Father returns after the Millenium reign to Earth after Satan has been placed permently in the lake of fire and destroyed. At this point, there will be no sin or evil peresent in the world, and God will come to live with the saved for all eternity.

It is the time, prior to the Tribulation, during which faithful Christians are going to be swept off the face of the Earth. They will be removed from the horrible things about to take place to those left behind. These include death by martyrdom for people who believe, as well as plagues upon unbelievers. The account can be found in the book of Revelations at the end of the Bible.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17... "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel and a trumpet from God and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that we who are still alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet with the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever."
Or in the words of a pop christian song "People get ready, Jesus is coming. Soon we'll be going home."
God bless

I think you have it wrong.. The rapture is when at the sound of the Trumpet those who are dead but served Christ are going to get up and we will all meet in The Sky to all go to Heaven. Those who have chose, not to serve are going to stay here on Earth to wait for the last Judgment. (they do not go to Hell right away). You were close.. God Bless You..

It is the removal of the Church before the 7 years of Tribulation. It will come suddenly and without warning. The word "rapture" was penned by Jerome in the 4th century from I Thess. 4:17. The term "caught up" in Greek is "harpazō" which means to seize (in various applications): - catch (away, up), pluck, pull, take (by force). The rapture is very Biblical and supported by many Scripture passages. It only makes sense to occur before the 7 years begin. The Bible supports the pre-tribulation rapture or harpazo.

The Rapture is not the second comeing of Christ. He will not come to earth at that time. Christ will call the dead in Christ to come to him first. Then those of The Church who are living will be called to meet Christ in the air. Jesus The Christ will not return to the earth untill he comes to establish His thousand year reign after the Tribulation period.

Rapture is the sound you hear inside the sea shell. The rapture is what you feel when the sunrise is at its peak. The rapture is the experience of a domed church or a flock of birds flying by. Those are all rapturous experiences, and there are many other examples of the same thing.
I realize that you are talking about a spiritual experience, but so am I.

It's a "rescuing of Christians" from the prophesied tribulation, that a number of Christians have been led to believe the Bible also prophesies when, in fact, it does not.

Actually, that's not the Rapture. That's the Last Judgement.
