Not necessarily. If you emailed her in the context of the team then she may just be interested in playing ball. As the captain of the team you sent out an email and she responded at an potential future team mate. You should respond as the captain of a team would to a potential teammate. If she is really interested you will have a whole ball season to work that out. She gave the team captain her name and phone number. If when you get together to discuss the team she acts like she is interested in you and not the game then you can make a move. Not before if you do it could be misinterpreted as an abuse of your position as captain of the team.
