it depends:
if i think i can make a positive contribution to her life, yes I would call her (see below regarding timing);
if i think i can be a positive influence in her life, yes I would call her (see below regarding timing);
otherwise, i'll probably just wish her well.
there are lots of guys, though, that will seize that as an opportunity to dominate a submissive personality -- which is how a lot of women get trapped in abusive relationships
in other words, just because a guy calls back doesn't mean he's a decent guy
and as far as timing, if i was very interested in being just pals, i would probably call the next day; however, the context of your question suggests more:
if i was interested in romance, i'd probably consider how the meeting went, and what was the obvious competition -- figure on getting a call in 2-4 days, unless i travel for business or am delayed by a trip.
adults sometimes have unexpected things happen in their lives (some good, some bad, some indifferent) and have as a consequence thereof to go on trips;
for instance, when i was just starting my airfreight business, i was on-call 24/7: whenever my customers needed me, i had to go RIGHT THEN, and round trips sometimes took more than a week.
after i got back, i had to sort through all the business stuff before attending personal matters. even so, i managed in much less than a month to contact the woman i married -- but that's because i made her a priority in my life.
if you are attracted to a guy and he doesn't call back immediately, don't sweat it.
on the other hand, if it has been more than a week and he doesn't have a PROVABLE alibi (a GOOD reason for having not called you sooner), drop him like a hot potato! he's a manipulative, lying abuser that will only bring you grief.

Surely, I'll still do the calling even up to the next day after, IF SHE IS STILL HOT (kidding). I like silent women, I mean somehow women of these types make good company. C'mon, everyone deserves a chance, SILENCE has a lot of remedies. What matters is that she keeps silent because she is SHY and not because she has nothing to say say even if she wanted to say anything because she is stupid or the other way around.

The problem with shy girls is that you really don't know where you stand with them. And, if you are truly hot, they might think that you are busy getting other guys attentions. You do need to let them know how you feel, OK? Sometimes just a touch is enough to let them know that you are interested.
You can tell them that you're shy while your hand is resting on their arm.

Well, I think if he doesn't call he just saved her some time and energy because he isn't worth it anyway if he i not willing to put the minimal amount of effort in that it takes to call someone. I am the type of person that goes after what I want, as a female I have no time to stand around and wait for someone or something to plop in my lap. i think that if he does not call you then he is doing you a great big favor.

I usually wait a day or two so they don't get the impression that I'm desperate. I've done a lot to work up my nerve when it comes to talking to really attractive girls ,but I still find it hard to start up conversations with the ones that I think are REALLY hot.

i would call her and ask her why shes so shy because threes no reason to be shy all u need to do is talk to that person! And they souldn't be as shy!

When you first meet someone...they tend to be shy..not wanting anyone to know the REAL them...give them time and maybe the shyness will be just a protection...good luck.
