I heard something about the wages of sin is death, but I sinned a bunch in my life and haven't died, so that's not a good standard.

So how do we determine the monetary value of a soul?

Do we say if someone believes in God they get $1000.00? For every lie is it a $50 penalty, every act of adulter say, $200 penalty?

If I helped an old lady cross the street would I end up with an extra $5.00? How about the conversion from charity to soul value? How about dollar for dollar?

Do we include lust in the heart as a $1.00 penalty?

I calculate my soul to be worth about $27 - oh well. Is that anything of value?

You can not determine the monitory value of a persons soul unless you equity the soul with a living person and not the died person. The soul according to most beliefs is not mortal. The soul is also not the conscious of the person. The soul is. It does not judge or accept or reject because the soul is what the person is without being tied directly to the living quality of life. The soul is not ego, or the heart or the fingers, it is the score keeper to some extent. Or you could think of it as a messenger. When you die, your soul will report to the heavenly father who will hopefully not kill the messenger.

The monetary value of a soul, or anything for that matter can only be determined by how much somebody is willing to pay for it. Christ has already paid for the souls of everyone on earth with his sacrifice. However if you choose not to let him have it and say decide to sell it to Satan instead... Well, here's the clincher, Satan won't pay for it. Why? Because if you're willing to sell your soul to Satan then he won't buy what he already owns. Satan is only interested in buying the souls of the righteous, because it is their souls that have value. Those willing to sell, no longer own their souls, so such talk of value after that is just imaginary. At this point only Christ can redeem the soul of such a person.

Your soul doesn't have monetary value, it has spiritual value. You have left out part of the scripture..."The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life throught Jesus Christ our Lord." All you have to do to live eternally is beleve in Christ and that he died for our sins and rose from the grave three days later, and ask Him into your heart. That's all you have to do. There are many, many people that say they believe in God, After all, Satan believes in God and look at where he's at, Hell. We must not only believe, but we must ask Him into our lives. Once you ask Him in, he washes your sins away. From then on, if you sin, all you have to do is ask for forgiveness. But, don't think that if you sin and forget to ask for forgiveness and you die that you wont go to Heaven. That's so not true. We are human and sin alot and will continue to sin no matter what. All He asks us to do is do our best to live our lives right and for Him and ask Him into our hearts and we can live eternally with Him forever. I don't know about you, but that eases my soul more than anything in the world. I am saved and a Christian, and I have never felt better!

The wages of sin IS Death. Fortunately for you someone paid that price for you in His blood and death on the cross at Calvary. Realizing this and accepting that Christ died for this reason for you will hopefully show you that your soul is beyond anything you could do (like good deeds). Your soul was worth the death of Christ. Money has no value.

You heard wrong, the wages of sin is not death but heavy taxes. That is why, no matter how much sins you committed, death is nowhere in sight but the tax burden is so heavy it's taking toll on your soul.

The value of your soul should be re-assessed periodically, its value should be revalued as often as may be necessary. The main purpose behind such valuation of the soul, is to keep its constant value or soul-redemption power inspite of many variations in sins. Thus, if your sins are rising, your soul would be heavier. Conversely, if your sins were falling, your soul would be made lighter.

For instance, a person who has USD2,000 worth of soul may be allowed to obtain USD2,000 as much sins he could commit times as much weight as was officially declared to be the amount of sins that could be redeemed. On the other hand, a person who may have gold bullion worth of soul, could sell it and thereby live without sins. Just remember, changes in the value of your soul could not be manipulated in order to keep your sins at constant level.

worth is in the hands of the buyer. Something can be rare, and special to one person, and nothing more than a trinket to another. Antiquers will tell you this. There has to be a market for it. If you belive there is a market for your soul, post it on ebay and see what people offer you for it. And what would you charge for shipping? And will you need bubble wrap? Is your sould cold and hard? Is it soft and fragile. I guess there are alot of factors to figure out.
Mine is irreplacable, so i cant put a price on mine. I dont know that if i ever had anyone else's soul, it would be the same as mine. I've gotten used to it. It's like that old pair of underware i keep in the back of my drawer. They may not be the prettiest ones, and they may not get me the attention i want at times, but they are comfy and i like them. I like my new ones, flashy and sexy, but when i really need the comfort, i go to the old faithful ones.
So it's possible, that souls are like old tattered comfy underpants. And would you really want to get rid of your old, comfy underpants? Afterall, they are yours!
but on humanforsale.com they say i am worth $1,790,344.00
a little more than 27 bucks

There is no amount of money in existence, whether in the past, present or future, that can even come close to the value of even soul. We are priceless, and nobly created.

The "wages" you speak of is not a physical death, but a spiritual one. A sinful life is one devoid of God. Turning from sin will grant you wayyyyyyyyy good points with God, and will make the angels sing!!! Turning from sin will do you justice, as you were carefully and lovingly and delicately and nobly created. The station of man (and woman) is LOFTY.

It seems you have misunderstood. The value of your soul is priceless, both to God and to Satan. That's why Satan tries so hard to tempt us and lead us towards eternal damnation.

God forgives all sins; all of them, even the ones that are really horrible (murder, for example) if you truly and sincerely wish to be forgiven and recognize the faults of your actions.

Catholics believe that if you go to Confession you can be absolved of your sins that you confess and repent for. The priest acts as a conduit to Jesus here on earth to forgive your sins and to give back to you the grace you may have lost. He will give you a penance, usually some prayers to say and advice if you ask for it. You can either go anonymously or face-to-face. The object of course is to not commit those same sins in the future and that as we are human, we should go to confession several times a year to cleanse our souls of our misdeeds.

You are valuable and loved in the eyes of God. Don't ever feel as if you are worth less than priceless.

Don't be silly.

You need to calculate these values based on the U.S. inflation index ... otherwise a $200 penalty today is less than a $200 penalty a week from now.

I think you get a shiny nickel for every Republican you vote into office.

You have to ask yourself a question first. The SCripture says, "For what profiteth it a man if he gain the whole world but lose his soul?" It's the only thing I can think of that would make someone sit down and thinik about what it would be "worth" to have a soul inhabiting a body that was fully subjected to God's will rather than be subjected to sin.
