For dancing music, pick out any songs you like - just make sure the DJ plays the radio version!
Some of the songs we're using at our reception are AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long", Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar on Me", and a lot of Bon Jovi.
For dinner music, check out Rock Swings by Paul Anka. He covers a lot of rock/alternative songs (e.g. Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit"), and gives them a jazzy twist. Basically, the older people at the wedding will enjoy the music, and the younger crowd will recognize the lyrics and the melody.
