I mean I think enough has changed since the last man he spoke to died to warrant another visit. I don't remember him mentioning nukes and WMDs or even the damn ozone layer. Encore! Encore!

He/she can't seriously expect me to believe a book of rhetoric and untied loose ends. There is even discrepancies within the same story.

God needs a new editor! (And no, I don't mean the Mormons.)

NickofTyme, are you perhaps insinuating that God can't handle my criticism? I'd of thought any good father would want his children to review what he wrote, or rather what was written about him.

TheWanderer, so you’re saying that I should put "faith" in to a book, just because the book tells me to?

If I were basing the choice the age of the book, how could I recognize the set precedence that was adapted to it by a man of cloth following the very doctrine within the book itself?

BLIIIGGA #1, when I see people suffering in other countries, people dieing, being slaves to their countries and the governments in turn telling them that it has something to do with God. It saddens me deeply knowing of the pain in humanity worldwide, all the while flipping through the American T.V. and radio stations, hearing how we did and are doing the right thing.

Lots of people seem to feel so detached to humanity because of different variables and why should they worry, all the Christians think they're going to heaven as long as they believe. They don't need to help society or its people, it's simply not their job right?

With that mentality it's easier to throw individuals mortality and humanity as a whole out the window. The future is just "God's Will" so it has to be somebody elses job.

But the invisible pink unicorn will always love you Craig. She will sign the moon for you with the invisible ink from her horn. That's unconditional man.

True God hasn't signed the moon. But he doesn't need to. The Bible never predicted nukes..etc. It does predict however that times would get worse, much worse than they were back then "Nation against nation, earthquakes, disease". Which is the time we're living in now. THe Bible isn't a book of rhetoric and untied loose ends. There are moments when it may seem like the Bible contradicts itself (Like a scripture that says "the world will be destroyed" and another that says "the earth was made to remain forever") But that's when you have to look at other scriptures to find the answers (many times in the BIble the word "world" is used as a symbol for unfaithful mankind). It never contradicts itself but harmonizes from beginning to end (quite impressive considering it was written over a period of 1600 years by over 40 different men). I know a short little reply can't change how you think, but hopefully it has made you think. Oh and I totally agree about the Mormon thing :)

Being a spiritual person myself I understand where your question is coming from. From your question I assume you're referring to Christianity and Jesus Christ. But in the end it comes down to this. If God signed the moon, if he came down right now and brought world peace and if he made pigs fly, then everyone would be a Christian. No thinking required. No faith. The whole point of faith is the challenge of believing in a just God in spite of the brokenness of this world.

edit in response: God no! Please don't ever believe in anything just because a book or a person tells you to. The moment anyone throws out reason and logic they submit themselves to ignorance. There's so much more to say but there's no way I can possibly write down everything. And besides, in the end there aren't any hard facts I could use to convince you that God exists. If I could do that then I'd be both rich and famous. Sorry if my answer doesn't answer your question the way you were expecting. But then again, were you really expecting to be convinced by answer or were you asking for the sake of argument? Cause you and i both know that this could go on forever. Well, take care buddy.

Yeah...signing the moon would be good. Why does he always let himself be know by putting images of the Virgin Mary on trees, windows, and toast for people in trailer parks to find? Why can I buy a fried shrimp that looks like Jesus on eBay? Is that the best he can do?

Oh, and what's all this crap about prayer? People pray for everything. Give me this, help me do that, I want to be thin, I need an operation on my crotch, etc. I thought God had a "Divine Plan". If something bad happens, Christians always say "well, it was part of the Lord's Divine Plan". Then why waste time on praying for crap? Don't you think it's kind of selfish to pray. What's the point in having a Divine Plan if any schmuck with a 2 dollar prayer book can come along and screw it up? If it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen....so stop praying and go out there and do something productive.

You must know that God HAS placed a signature on all things. Including you!

God speaks (in a way) through you, me, and every living thing in the universe. "Let him/her with ears, hear."

It appears that you have not learned to speak or understand the language as yet. You must let Love Rule! Try to see the beauty in life, beyond the negative moments or situations than may occur. When you do this, then all will be revealed.

"You Must Find The Plus Sign!"
Peace.

First off, God does not perform tricks to appease or please you. He makes the rules, not you. He sent His son, Jesus, who is the manifestation of God in the flesh, He gave us His word, which is the Bible, a collection of books which is as relevant today as when it was written, He gave us fulfilled prophesy, and He gave us the creation all around us. He gave you all the evidence you need to believe, if you don't, it is because you choose not to, not due to lack of evidence.

Rom 1:20 For the unseen things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things made, both His eternal power and Godhead, for them to be without excuse.

Why? He sent signs, wonders, split the red sea, rained manna for food to eat, sent Jesus, healed people, increased wine, walked on water, fed the mulitudes, sent plagues of locusts and toads, turned the sea to blood...my goodness! Men still didn't believe. Been there...done that...didn't work. We were even too stuuuupid to even recognize who He was! Doubting Thomas even had to put his finger into His nail scared hands! Enough is enough. He gave us His Word and either you believe or you don't now. What else do you expect? By the way...it's NOT OVER. Read Revelations my dear...you'll get your signature.
