Our local newspaper just had an article about watermelon. It said that all parts of the watermelon are edible, including the rind and seeds. I'm not sure why anyone would eat the rind, though!

No, it's not dangerous. People eat pumpkin, squash, watermelon and other seeds all the time. Watermelon seeds are popular in Asian countries. You can toast them in the oven or dry-fry them in a heavy skillet with mixed spices, for a tasty snack.

No problem with the seeds. Your digestive acids should tear up and digest some parts of the seeds. The rest will eventually pass through with other solid wastes.

No, it is not the truth. Many years ago there was a myth that if you ate the seeds a watermelon would grow in your stomach. Silly isn't it, but kids believed it.

I have eaten them along with the rest of it since I was a child a long time ago and I am still here. Oh and I am not a melon either!

No, it is not dangerous to eat watermelon seeds. What doesn't digest will just pass out of your system. Same as corn, peanuts, etc.

I've had salted sun roasted watermelon seeds in the middle-east, and they're very nice and very moreish! If they were that bad I'm sure the seeds wouldnt be sold.
