I really like this guy in my grade and I know he likes me because of numerous occaisions. I just found out he's in all of my classes this year and that he isn't allowed to date until next year or the year after. He's a really sweet guy but I don't really talk to him because he's always with his friends and he's never online. He acts like a jerk with his friends but he's not when he's away from them. What should I do?

He knows a lot about me, as I do him, that includes number, address, personal hobbies...

well that's how my boyfriend is... boys are jerks with their friends to act cool... when he's away from them he'll be who he is. so whatever his freinds say or think dont think anything of it. its worthless... and if he's not allowed to date. let him choose... if he wants to date or not. my ex did that. it worked well... well when no one is around him in ur class u should go up to him and talk to him.

Definitely infatuation and the pitfalls of school. Let the young man be, he's off limits!! If he's not allowed to date, there is nothing you can do, but just be a friend. If he's so sweet, enjoy his friendship; hey he may be able to hook you up with some other cute guy. Back in the stoneage I had a similar situation and the girl was like my best friend for a few years, so try to make the best of it.
BTW, all guys regardless of age act differently around their friends. Sorry, we just do!

Men and boys have that in common. Be patient. Let him know that his behavior when he's around his boys is a turn off. Don't act as if you're about to explode when he approaches you, be cool and aloof. If he can't date you until next year, you have a whole year to get to know each other better.

LOL! You guys are obviously young so take your time and concentrate on your books. Good rule of thumb if he cannot be him around his friends or other people then you do not need him in your life. Would you continue to be friends with a female that spoke to you only when her other firends were not around? I hope not.

Well if he's going to be in all of your classes next year, then maybe you should try and get a seat next to him and pass him notes to meet you somewhere where he isn't with his friends. Give him a try and good luck!

Understand what's going on. Be his friend. Wait til his parents give him the go-ahead. If you want to date, find someone else.
