Be honest with him,don't lie.If you can't cook,how about taking up some cooking classes where you live.Don't reheat tv dinners for him.Go to the store and but something that is already precooked.Or go out to a nice dinner.

I have never found a tv dinner that is as good as a home cooked meal. Maybe try stouffers lasanga or something. That is not so much like a individual sized tv dinner and may be better.
Otherwise try easy stuff like hamburger helper, where you just cook the hamburger, add the water and spices and your meal is done.

I wouldnt recommend tv dinners. but you can buy stauffers lasagna and do that or you can find stuff in the freezer section. there are pasta dishes that you just heat up in a skillet, they are pretty good, also you can buy a cheap crock pot for like 15 dollars or so and buy things from the freezer section that you just put in the crock pot. or you could just learn to cook. Why don't you just pick up some of that pre-made pasta in the cases they have now? Because those dinners taste terrible.

really, you should tell him the truth. and why not just try some simple recipes...doesn't have to be anything complicated to taste great.
