Sure. If you don't believe in God, why would you ever have any cause to use his name in vain? Why say "God dam***" if you don't believe in God?
If you don't believe in God, I can't see any reason why his name would be in your vocabulary for occasions to use it in vain.

You call evil that which is good, and good that which is evil. If you want to use God's name in vein, nobody's going to stop you. But you will be the one to face God on judgement day, nobody else. You can lie to yourself and say there is no God. When your conscience condemms you, or maybe its seared and you have none. God punishes sin, in the Old Testament because they rebelled against his laws. Would a good judge let murders get away with it.. The fact you say the bible proves God to be a liar, means you don't understand it. I highly doubt you even read it. If you did, your goal was to dis-credit it, and find faults with it. Or you go by what some bias bible hater says, since he doesn't care about eternal things..Well I see you don't believe in God, so we can conclude that I don't believe your real. I've never seen you..

The best reason I can think of is He saved your ungrateful soul by sending His Son into this world so that you would have eternal life. You have a choice whether to worship God or follow Satan. I have chosen to worship God. I hope when that day comes and if you don't change you will remember this answer and you will never be able to say that no one told you about Jesus. You will have no excuse for your choice.
You have a chance right now to accept Jesus as your Savior. All you have to do is truly ask Jesus to come into your heart and forgive you of your sins. Tell Him that you know we all are sinners but that you want to be forgiven and you are going to turn from the world and follow Him. Then you will loose all of your anger and replace it with hope and joy. Let's just say you do this. If it don't work out, Satan will always take you back. Personally, I don't think you will ever go back to serving Satan.

One very good reason: If you don't believe in God, then you are cheating your own beliefs if you ever use expressions like "Oh God!" or "Jesus Christ!" ... that is the vain (in other words, pointless) use of words.
It depends what you DO believe, but if you include amongst your beliefs never to do unnecessary harm to a fellow human, then you should not leave yourself open to giving offence to other people by your language or actions.

If you are an atheist--i.e., if you have proof that God does not exist--there is no reason not to use his name in vain.
If you are an agnostic--i.e., if you have no proof either way about God--then a compelling reason not to use his name in vain is a fear of the almighty.
But since you don't believe--and therefore don't know God--there is no sense in trying to even roughly sketch out for you what the fear of God is...and WHY it is.
Except to say, God help you.

well why don't you use the devil's name in vain? and how is God so evil? He made you! He made your parents, He made the flowers and trees, without Him we wouldn't exist! He gave us life!! how is that evil?
Exodus 22:28
"Do not blaspheme God or curse the ruler of your people.
Leviticus 24:15
'If anyone curses his God, he will be held responsible;
Leviticus 20:9
" 'If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death. He has cursed his father or his mother, and his blood will be on his own head.
Genesis 27:29
May those who curse you be cursed and those who bless you be blessed."
those are some pretty good reasons not to curse!

Maybe because in a civil society we attempt to avoid doings things that we know will deeply offend others (even if the act is not illegal).
Having Respect for others is not only a key element of most faith traditions, but it can also help you avoid unnecessary bodily harm.

Regardless of your beliefs...it reflects someone who belongs on a Jerry Springer show and is ignorant to the extreme. Cursing doesn't make anyone appear to be intelligent. Just ignorant and stuuuuuuuupid! If that is what you want to portray...feel free, it's your choice, but don't get upset when people judge your character for it. You won't have the right to defend yourself because of your actions and filthy mouth.

Read your own question----what is taking the name "in vain" mean? That means you are using the name for any old thing, even trivial thing. You do not trivialize something you respect and revere. So, if you believe in God, then you do not use His name unless it is for an important cause--such as prayer, or show your affection and faith and trust in Him.
If you do not believe in God. . . . .well you can do whatever you damn well please with His name, or your mother's or father's.

Hey you do whatever you want. Just keep the a/c off and turn up the heat because it's going to be a thousand times hotter where you are headed. Then you and your boy, Satan, can talk all the trash you like.
